Coastal Women's Shelter relies on donations from our community to help keep the Safe House well supplied and to help our clients establish new households once they have escaped their abusers. We are no longer able to accept clothing at our main office, but you may call Helping Hands Boutique (252.633.6305) to schedule a drop off.

SEASONAL NEEDSAugust - September has a high need for children's lunch box items and school supplies. September - October is the time we begin our Halloween candy drive. In addition to delivering something special to our clients' children, Coastal Women's Shelter has a higher involvement in community outreach programs and events. Halloween candy is a special commodity we can always use. We also hope for children's Halloween costumes and trick-or-treating buckets. November - December is a valuable time for holiday items. All donated items are disbursed to our Safe House and our clients in 3 counties. We also have a need for Christmas decor, trees, lights, ornaments, wrapping paper, children's gifts, and gifts for teenagers and adults. Thanksgiving our clients are always grateful for turkeys, hams, bacon, stuffing, fresh produce, canned pie fillings, evaporated milk, spices, canned yams, butter, and other traditional foods for the holiday. Due to the ongoing spread of COVID-19 and other contagious viruses, please consider providing a meal box with above mentioned items or a grocery store gift card. Please call us at 252-638-4509 for more information. Adopt a Family is a chance for our community to fulfill Christmas wishes. If you are interested in gifting a family with your kindness or contributing, please call us at 252.638.4509 for more information. Pajama Drive our annual pajama drive collects sleepwear for our clients and their children during the winter months. Please call us at 252.638.4509 for more information.
